Introduction

Securicodes is a tweak designed to give additional uses to the passcodes used to unlock the device. You can set certain passcodes to do certain actions, like power off the device or delete Mobile SMS messages. Please read through the entire help file before using Securicodes.

Getting started

In Securicodes preferences, there are two options: "Enabled" and "Device Wipe Failsafe." "Enabled" just determines whether entering a valid Securicode on the lock screen has any effect. Device Wipe Failsafe is a safety feature that prevents your device from being wiped if your "Wipe Device" Securicode is entered accidentally. When enabled, "Wipe Device Failsafe" requires that you enter your Wipe Device Securicode twice in a row on the lock screen (highly recommended). It is also highly recommended you make an iTunes backup of your device before using any of the "destructive" actions.

A sample Securicode is created when first going into Securicodes preferences. Tapping on "My Securicode" will bring you to the edit screen, where you can change the name, passcode, action, and unlock value. You can also delete a Securicode from this screen.

You can create as many Securicodes as you like. Multiple Securicodes with the same code can be created to string together multiple actions upon unlock. For example, you can have one Securicode that has the "Delete Safari History" action and one with "Delete Safari Bookmarks" that both use the code "0000" to complete both actions upon entering "0000" on the lock screen.
In addition, you can create Securicodes that use the same code as your default (system) unlock passcode. Although this is not recommended, it is useful if you want to delete your SMS messages every time you unlock your device without having separate codes.

Actions

There are several useful Actions that function as security measures or utilities.

Note that all the delete functions are permanent and cannot be undone.

WIPING YOUR DEVICE IS PERMANENT AND CANNOT BE UNDONE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
