WiFi-Where Hotspot Details
RSSI (Icon + Subtext)
In the upper hand corner of the view is the most recent signal strength of the hotspot. The raw RSSI value is displayed below a graphical representation of the relative signal strength.
Network Name
The network name is displayed at the top of the view. If the hotspot is hidden, the MAC address is shown.
MAC
The hotspot's unique network identifier.
Channel
The hotspot's current wireless channel.
Security
A textual description of the type of security (if any) that the hotspot has, as well as the type of encryption used.
First Seen
Time Stamp of when the hotspot was first encountered.
Last Seen
Time Stamp of when the hotspot was last encountered.
Location
Current Location of the hotspot. Displayed as Latitude/Longitude pair.
Mode
The current operating mode of the hotspot. Either Access Point or Ad Hoc.
Hidden
Displays Yes or No depending on whether the network is hidden or not.
IP
If connected to the hotspot, the current IP Address is shown.
Peak Signal
During scanning, WiFi-Where keeps track of the time and location of the strongest signal for each hotspot.
Connect/Disconnect
WiFi-Where can connect to both secure and unsecure hotspots. When connecting to a secure hotspot, you will be prompted to enter the hotspot password.
Save/Forget Hotspot
You can mark a hotspot as saved and WiFi-Where will always remember it, and it will always show up in the scan results (regardless of any other filtering options you might have set).
